A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting Monday night at a home in Pleasant View.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:15 p.m. to a residence on Jack Teasley Road for a reported shooting.
When deputies arrived, they said they located the body of a 36-year-old man, identified as Christopher Lee Helser.
Travis Presley, 21, called 911 after the shooting and fled the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies said Presley was later located down the road and taken into custody on a criminal homicide charge.
Investigators determined Helser was shot when he intervened in an argument between his 17-year-old son and Presley.
Presley was lodged in the Robertson County Detention Facility without bond.
