A local high school football coach is facing multiple charges after he was arrested for a DUI in Chapel Hill early Sunday morning.

Summit High School Head Football Coach Brian Coleman, 42, is charged with driving under the influence, violation of implied consent law, and driving on a roadway laned for traffic.

Coleman was booked into the Marshall County Jail around 3:30 a.m. on a $2,000 bond.

Calls to Chapel Hill police have not been returned, so the exact details of the stop are unknown at this time. Numerous attempts to reach Brian Coleman have also proved unsuccessful to this point.

News 2 has notified Williamson County school authorities.

Spokesperson Carol Birdsong says “we are aware of the situation and we are looking into it.”
