Storybook Houses at Cheekwood

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Cheekwood was named a Top 10 Botanical Garden in the USA Today Readers’ Choice poll. The gardens ranked 6 out of 10 and it’s easy to see why.

Not only is Cheekwood beautiful, but it also offers a lot of interesting exhibits including the Storybook Houses which will remain open through the summer.

Five favorite childhood classics have reimagined in Cheekwood’s gardens as playhouses. These playhouses were inspired by beloved illustrators and include “Oh, The Places You’ll Play” inspired by Dr. Seuss, “Hill Top Garden” inspired by Beatrix Potter, “Charlotte’s Barn” inspired by Garth Williams, “We Are Wild” inspired by Maurice Sendak, and “TRAINS!” inspired by Loren Long.

Every Tuesday is also “Tuesdays for Tots”. In addition to the playhouses, there will also be various interactive activities offered as well as story time.

Cheekwood is also celebrating National Public Gardens Week with half-price admission on Wednesday. A voucher for this can be found on the National Public Gardens website.
