Baseball in Music City is back as the Nashville Sounds open up their season against the Iowa Cubs Thursday night.

News 2 meteorologist Jared Plushnick had the opportunity to sample some of First Tennessee Park’s newest concession items ahead of the season opener.

In the Band Box, there are sweet potato fries with a side of maple bourbon honey mustard dip, which Jared called “immaculate.”

The park has two different mac and cheese bowls, one with pulled chicken and another with pulled pork, barbecue sauce and jalepenos.

Though baseball is known for hot dogs, three new colossal burgers are on the menu. A double bacon cheeseburger with sweet onion jam, a grilled cheeseburger with TWO full-sized grilled cheese sandwiches for buns and a sticky, savory honey bun burger.

The fun begins at 6:35 p.m. with fireworks scheduled for after the game.
