NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A bill to ban smoking at the new outdoor downtown Nashville venue passed its third reading Tuesday night with the Metro Council.
It means smoking is no longer allowed at Ascend Amphitheater.
Currently, smokers are required to go to one of three smoking areas at the venue, which was made a policy after smoking was initially permitted everywhere.
There’s no word yet on when the new ban will go into effect.
The bill was introduced late April by Councilman Dave Rosenberg, who represents District 35 in West Nashville and Bellevue.
