Six-foot-long snake cuts power to all of Mount Pleasant

MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A large snake is to blame for an outage that left the entire city of Mount Pleasant without power for part of Friday morning.

According to Mount Pleasant Power System, the six-foot-long snake was able to slither its way into the main power supply at the Mount Joy substation.

The power company says the outage was first reported at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Power was officially restored to all customers around 1 a.m.
