NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Metro police cruiser was damaged after gunshots were fired along an Antioch street Sunday.

It happened on Bridgecrest Drive near Edencrest Drive.

Metro police said an officer was in his home just before 11:15 p.m. when he heard the gunfire from the street. Both a mustang and a police car were shot up. Both cars were unoccupied.

The shooter is believed to have fled in a gold or silver Nissan Altima.

Police said the Ford Mustang targeted by the gunman was also shot up on May 9. They said the Mustang belongs to a teenager, but he wasn’t present during either incident.

Officers said the teen has been charged with multiple offenses from 2017 through this year, including last year’s carjacking of a 63-year-old man in the parking lot of a library/community center.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
