Roads resurface as I-24 cleanup continues

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Progress has been made in the I-24 landslide cleanup.

According to TDOT, 600 dump trucks have removed dirt and debris from the mudslide as of Monday afternoon.

But with an estimated total of 5,000 dump trucks to clean the entire landslide, there is still much work left for contractor crews to do.

The timeline for the temporary eastbound lanes on I-24 are still on track to open up to traffic on March 15th.

This is a developing story – News 2 is expecting an update this week.
