The USDA confirmed Saturday afternoon that Tennessee Publix stores were not one of those included in a ground chuck recall.
The USDA website reported that Publix voluntarily recalled an undetermined amount of ground beef products made from chuck that may be contaminated with E. coli.
Brenda Reid, Media and Community Relations Manager for the store, confirmed that the recall was limited to a small number of stores in Florida only.
Stores in Georgia and Alabama are also safe from the recall.
