Rapper’s social media announcement draws large crowd at Opry Mills theater


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A large crowd showed up at the Opry Mills Stadium 20 theater Saturday night to see Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta.

The rap artist posted on his Instagram feed that he bought out a showing of the movie, “All Eyez On Me.”  He was giving away tickets to the 2Pac tribute movie.

Metro Police tell News 2 a crowd of several hundred people showed up for the 9:15 show and rushed the theater.

When security officers closed the entrance, people were beating on the doors.

Police officers working at the mall called for extra assistance late Saturday night.

They were able to disperse the crowd without any arrests or injuries.
