Rain continues tonight east of I-65. There have been reports of snow and sleet mixing in, especially north of I-40 and we expect that to continue overnight.

Keep an eye on the radar at wkrn.com/radar.

Little accumulation is expected with just a coating possible on The Plateau. The biggest impact will be from the leftover rain standing on area roads. With temperatures dropping to and below the freezing mark, any wet areas can freeze and cause icy roads, bridges, as well as overpasses.

Slippery roads remain into Thursday morning. The Weather Authority Team will keep you updated through the event.
