Progressive sushi restaurant Virago moves to 3rd location

News 2 got a sneak peek at the new Virago while celebrating the launch of Nashville’s new gorgeous magazine, The Nashville Edit.

Middle Tennessee resident Sheryl Crow graces the cover of the premiere issue.

Well-known Nashville magazine publisher Stacie Standifer is behind the new magazine.

Standifer founded the city magazine, Nashville Lifestyles, and developed other publications including Nashville Weddings, At Home and Murfreesboro Magazine.

Hundreds of the cities movers, shakers and fashionistas came out for the party, getting a taste of what’s to come when the new Virago opens its doors in the coming weeks. Featured was an amazing spicy tuna roll topped with watermelon pop rocks!

This is the third move for the popular, progressive sushi restaurant that first opened in the Midtown area.

After 10 years, Chris Hyndman moved it closer to the Gulch on McGavock Street.

Now nine years later, Virago will be moving just a few doors down. Hyndman says he will be opening two new businesses in the current Virago location.
