A Murfreesboro motel was the scene of a small fire triggered by a series of unusual events.
It started around 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at the Chrisman Motel on Broad Street.
Fire officials say a truck leaving the parking lot snagged a low hanging power line. The power line fell on the building and created a power surge. The surge led to a fire in two of the units.
Crews were able to put out the fire fast. No one was injured.
