Police: Woman caused crash that ended with car in house

News

Metro Police say the man who drove into a house in the Edgehill neighborhood was hit from behind and officers say it all started as a domestic argument.

Officers arrested Alexis Raymond, 35, and charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest affidavit, Raymond and the man involved in this crash have children together. Police say Raymond was upset with the man over a Facebook post and started yelling and hitting him when he got home Thursday afternoon.

Metro Police say the man drove off and Raymond got in another car and followed. Metro police say Raymond slammed into the man on 9th Avenue South, forcing him to flip and hit a house.

A witness heard the crash and saw what happened, according to police.

Raymond and the man were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries from the crash.

Police say Raymond used her car as a weapon which is why they charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
