A woman is accused of asking an acquaintance to borrow a phone and then selling it.
Metro police arrested Ashlee Burroughs and her charged her with theft.
According to her arrest affidavit, Burroughs got a ride from the victim to a Walmart in January and before going into the store, asked to borrow his cell phone.
Metro police say the victim gave her his phone, Burroughs went inside the store and never returned.
Officers say the victim had the serial number to his phone and was able to track it, finding out it had been sold several hours after he lent it to Burroughs.
Burroughs was charged early Saturday morning.
