Police searching for teen suspects who fled following pursuit in Mt. Juliet

Police in Mt. Juliet are searching for at least three suspects who ran away while fleeing from a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.  

An officer attempted to stop a vehicle traveling more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone when the car drove into a field near the 1100 block of Pleasant Grove Road.  

Mt. Juliet police reported the vehicle became disabled and four occupants, possibly juveniles, ran from the car.

A 15-year-old boy who was listed as a runaway from Nashville was taken into custody as officers searched the area, according to Mt. Juliet police.  

Officers are continuing to search the area near Catalpa and Sycamore drive for the other occupants.  

Mt. Juliet police said a handgun and marijuana were found inside the vehicle.
