Police searching for armed robbery suspect in Smyrna

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery in Symrna Sunday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m. at the Shell Station on Almaville Road.

The suspect reportedly showed a handgun to customers and the employee at the station.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registered before fleeing on foot toward Interstate 24.

The suspect is described as a white male, seemingly in his early 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a stocky build. He was seen wearing a black jacket with a hoodie, blue jeans and a lime green pair of gloves. The gloves had a black emblem on them.
