Just after 6:00 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a stabbing at the Circle K gas station on Haywood Lane off of Interstate-24.

Police said the victim does not speak much English, but was able to communicate that he was stabbed in the arm after two men tried to rob him in the parking lot.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition, according to police on the scene.

Investigators told News 2 that security cameras were unable to capture the incident because it happened in the corner of the parking lot.

At this time, it is unclear what the victim was stabbed with because the weapon was not recovered at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
