A driver was killed in a crash Sunday evening when she failed to negotiate a curve on the interstate.
Metro Police have identified the driver as Keri Reed, 33, from Franklin.
According to Metro Police, Reed was taking the ramp from I-65 North to I-440 West around 5:30 p.m. when she lost control and hit the retaining wall.
The driver’s Ford Escape then began to roll, rolling over the wall and coming to a rest in the middle of I-65 North.
The driver was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she later died.
Traffic on I-65 was backed up for hours while accident investigators worked.
