HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.(WKRN) — Sergeant Christopher Gagnon with Hendersonville Police is searching for the man who police say robbed three GameStop stores across Middle Tennessee.
“We want to do everything that we can to get him off the streets,” Gagnon said.
On May 14th, surveillance video shows the robber pulling out a gun and demanding money from the clerk at GameStop on Glenbrook Way.
“The guy comes into the store,” Gagnon said. “He’s very calm and collected.”
Police say he walked off with more than $1,000.
“He’s coming in close to closing time,” he said.
Police say the man has robbed three GameStops in three months.
The first robbery happened at the Goodlettsville location on February 18th. Police say the suspect stole nearly $900.
“The guy actually threatened to shoot him if he didn’t give him any money,” Gagnon said.
On March 5th, he struck again, robbing the GameStop in White House of $200, according to police.
Each time, he uses his clothes as part of his disguise.
“He is taking his t-shirt and covering his face up to his nose,” he said.
Gagnon says the stores could be an easy target due to how expensive some games and consoles can be.
“They sell a lot of games,” he said. “They take in a lot of cash.”
He says they want to catch the suspect before things turn violent.
“You’ve got the potential for somebody getting hurt,” Gagnon said.
