Police: Donelson man shoots, critically injures roommate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro Police said a man who shot his roommate Sunday morning inside of their home in Donelson claimed he thought he was shooting an intruder.

According to officers, the man told investigators he believed someone was breaking into his home on Dellrose Drive around 6 a.m. and as the person entered the front door, he fired several shots.

The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds to the arms and torso, and was listed in critical but stable condition.

No other details were released.
