NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian on Interstate 440 East Friday night.
It happened near the Richardson Avenue overpass at 8 p.m.
Officials say 44-year-old Lan Luong was walking in the striped area between the travel lanes and merge lanes from West End Avenue when the collision occurred.
According to witnesses, the car stopped momentary before speeding away.
Luong was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
It was not immediately known why Luong was walking on the interstate.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a silver or gray 4-door Honda sedan. The car had blue glow lights underneath and a shattered passenger side mirror from the accident.
