STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) – An Ohio police officer who responded to a call about a dog locked inside a hot car ordered the owner to sit in the vehicle to see how it feels.

The officer said when the owner returned to the car, he ordered her to sit in the hot vehicle with the doors closed and windows rolled up.

An animal lover made the 911 call from Walmart on April 12.

The dog, which was left sitting in a Nissan Sentra, was fine.

According to the officer, the woman was fine when she got out, but did look uncomfortable.

She got off with a warning but was advised she could face charges if caught doing it again.
