NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Students in North Nashville are getting the help they need to make it to college starting in elementary school.
On Saturday, a group of students led the discussion on ACT and college preparedness.
Maurice Fitzgerald, the CEO of non- profit In Full Motion, says it is never too early to get kids on the right path. By doing that, it helps the entire community.
“We would like to teach every student that they can go to college, but they have to be prepared and they have to eliminate barriers,” Fitzgerald said.
He says education is one of the best ways to keep young people away from a life of violence.Click here for more about In Full Motion’s ACT Prep Session.RELATED: Black community pushes for better funding of certain Metro-Nashville programs
