The Loretto High School Band in Lawrence County has been tapped for a big honor. They’re invited to represent Tennessee in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washinton, D.C.
They need help to get there.
Sending 46 kids with all their uniforms and instruments will cost close to $60,000.
Band Director Darrell Boston and Jay Neidert, President of Loretto Band Boosters stopped by News 2 at 11 a.m. to talk about how important it is to send every member of the band to share this honor, and how they hope to raise the money.
If you’d like to help out, the Loretto Band Boosters is a registered nonprofit so donations are tax deductible at fundly.com/loretto-band-march-to-washington.
