For the very first time, country music superstar Randy Travis opens up about his life, his childhood, his marriage, his health and more in a new book.
It’s called Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life
Ken Abraham co-authored the book with Randy and stopped by News 2 at 11 a.m. to talk about it.
Ken says Randy is one of the nicest guys in the world, and remarkable for his generosity, kindness, and humility.
One of the stories revealed in the book is how Randy was discovered, working as a cook at the Nashville Palace. He was singing on stage then going back to the kitchen to cook catfish, says Ken.
The book is named for Randy’s enduring hit song, Forever and Ever, Amen, which debuted in 1987 and helped him win his second Grammy.
The book comes out in May, but you can pre-order it now on Amazon.com
