Children who eat too many spicy chips and other hot snacks may be headed for stomach problems, according to Dr. Samer Ammar, Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Tristar Centennial. 

Dr. Ammar says high consumption of hot snacks could be associated with significant gastric injury.

He sees 5 -6 patients a day complaining of abdominal pain and says hot snacks are most likely a factor.
