“Nashville Sound: An Illustrated Timeline” is an illustrated book filled with the history of music in Nashville.

Author Don Cusic stopped by News 2 at 11 a.m. on Monday to talk about his new book.

He says the most remarkable thing about Nashville music history is that in 1945 there were no recording studios and no record labels here. But 15 years later, Nashville was a major music center, Music City USA.

Don Cusic is Professor of Music Business, and Music City Professor of Music Industry History at Belmont University.
