Opioid addiction affects millions of people every year.  

Sometimes that addiction spirals from medication prescribed after surgery. 

That’s why a school here in Nashville has developed a new treatment using ultrasound technology to reduce the risk of addiction after surgery. 

Chris Hulin, President of Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia, stopped by News 2 at 11 a.m. to explain how this works.
