NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Amazon revealed its annual list of the top 20 most well-read cities with Nashville coming in at No. 16.
Amazon ranks cities of more than half-a-million people based on purchases of books, magazines and newspapers in both downloaded and print format.
Seattle, the home of Amazon’s headquarters, came in first for the second year in a row.
News 2 checked with the Nashville Public Library to find out what were the most read books in Music City.
For the past year, “Go Set a Watchman,” Harper Lee’s sequel to “To Kill a Mockingbird” was the most requested book for adults.
“The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins was a close second.
“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” was the most checked out kids book while “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw” is the most requested kids book of all time through the Nashville Public Library.
