NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -The Nashville Parthenon in Centennial Park glows blue Tuesday in support of World Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day.
This is part of the Children’s Tumor Foundation’s month-long awareness campaign ‘Shine a Light on NF.’
Neurofibromatosis causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, and there is currently no treatment or cure.
The campaign hosts events both online and offline in efforts to educate the community about the rare genetic disorder.
The Parthenon will also recognize a local girl with the disorder.
