Trees illuminated along 2nd Avenue following bombing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The reconstruction process continues along Second Avenue in downtown Nashville following the Christmas morning bombing that destroyed more than 40 buildings in the historic district.

On Wednesday night, 22 trees on Second Avenue between Broadway and Commerce Street were illuminated with decorative lights.

Janet Kurtz with Second Avenue Strong said this project has been in the works for years as part of an enhancement to the streetscape.
