A middle school student with a knife was disarmed by a Wilson Co. SRO on Thursday morning, according to officials with the Mt. Juliet Police Dept.
According to police, the incident happened at Mt Juliet Middle School around 8:30 a.m.
Officers responded to the school after report of a student “experiencing an emotional crisis, standing in a school counselor’s office and holding a steak-style knife.”
Responding officers assisted the school SRO in disarming the student without force.
Officials say no one was harmed in the incident. The student’s parents were notified and will receive necessary care.
