Mt. Juliet Christian Academy warns of online sexual predator

News

Mt. Juliet Christian Academy school officials warned parents of a possible online sexual predator.

In an email on Thursday signed by M.J.C.. High School Principal Darrel Vandergriff, the suspect is described as likely an odler man who poses as a 13 or 16-year-old.

According to the email, the man goes by the name Brice and the Instagram handle Brice 522.

The email goes on to say the man followed one student online, then contacted her followers, sending pictures of himself and asking for their picture in return.

As a mother and teacher in Smith County, Wendy Cond said it’s vital for parents to be vigilant and involved.

“I think you need to be very involved in your child’s life and be absolutely positive of everything they’re getting into because we’re their first look into the world,” said Cond.
