“I’m a Juggalo, not a criminal.”

The captioned picture is just one of several notable posts found on the Facebook page of Krystal Daniels, the Dickson County mother charged Monday with aggravated child endangerment or neglect following the disappearance and death of her five-year-old son Joe Clyde.

Another one of those posts is a lengthy one from December 2012. In it, Daniels discusses getting custody back of one of her sons, as well as her battle with bipolar, schizophrenia and severe depression. She writes that God and her “amazing husband” have helped her through it.

“To my sons,” she writes “mommy loves you” and “to my husband, you are my best friend and my companion.”

Community members have widely shared these posts on social media in the days that followed the arrest of Joe Clyde’s father Joseph Daniels. He is charged with criminal homicide.

Several people have also tagged Krystal Daniels on Facebook, calling for her arrest. It does not appear that she responded to any of those posts.

While specifics of the charge against Joe Clyde’s mother were not immediately released, Tennessee law states a person can be charged with aggravated child endangerment or neglect if there’s “serious bodily injury to the child,” “deadly weapon, dangerous instrument, or controlled substance is used,” or the act is “especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel.”

An arrest affidavit could be released Tuesday which would likely reveal specifics of Krystal Daniels’ alleged involvement in the death of her son.
