BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – The mother of a boy accused in the Brentwood Academy sex assaults has now filed her own lawsuit.

The woman is suing the mother of the alleged rape victim for defamation. She also claims she’s been subjected to humiliation since that lawsuit was filed.

She is suing for $1.5 million.

The woman’s son is accused alongside three other students in an August lawsuit that claims the boys raped or sexually assaulted a sixth grade boy in at least four instances the 2014-15 schoolyear.

The victim’s mother claims the students were left unsupervised during the alleged incidents. She also says the school failed to comply with mandatory child abuse reporting statues, and is demanding a jury trial in the case. She is seeking damages exceeding $30 million.
