NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Monday marked the first day of weekday lane shifts for the major work phase of the I-440 reconstruction project.
There were no major incidents, but speeding has been an issue.
The work zone means the speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour along the interstate.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Deptartment, officers issued 128 speeding tickets in February on I-440, 48 of those were issued from Feb. 25-27 when work starting ramping up.
As a reminder to drivers, please slow down and give yourself extra time.
