NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN)- A mural depicting Marine Week in Nashville was unveiled Saturday on an outside wall of an iconic music venue.

Six Marine artists spent 150 hours painting the mural on the wall of the Douglas Corner Cafe on Eighth Avenue South.

The mural’s theme is music and it includes several familiar images both from Nashville and the U.S. Marine Corps.

The unveiling was accompanied by a Marine band in front of several dozen onlookers.

The Marines say they hope the mural leaves a lasting impression of them for Nashville.
