NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The man who pleaded guilty to shooting a Metro councilman last year was the victim of Nashville gun violence himself this week.

Metro police say Brandon Hunt-Clark was identified as a second victim in the Donelson shooting that happened on Wednesday.

Hunt-Clark, 20, was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Thursday night for a wound to his right leg and graze to his butt.

A press release states Hunt-Clark’s attorney notified Hermitage Precinct detectives that she was bringing him to the hospital.

A 26-year-old man was also killed in the shooting in the parking lot of JC’s Bullseye Sports Bar on Blackwood Drive. He was identified as Justin Lawton.

Metro police say Hunt-Clark admitted to being driven to the parking lot by his girlfriend and sitting with Lawton inside his car when shots rang out. However, he reportedly claims not to remember further details due to his level of intoxication.

Hunt-Clark and his girlfriend both reported she drove him away from the scene after the shooting, according to authorities.

Detectives found Hunt-Clark’s wallet and identification in the parking lot. Police said they were attempting to find him when his attorney contacted the police department Thursday.

Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible for the fatal gunfire in this case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

This past August, Hunt-Clark pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault for the November 2015 shooting of then Metro Councilman Loniel Greene near the intersection of Oceola and Burgess Avenues in West Nashville. He received a three-year probated sentence.

Police say Lawton was with Hunt-Clark during the Greene incident.
