A man is recovering after he was stabbed in the eye in South Nashville Tuesday night.
The victim walked into the Mapco on Nolensville Pike at the corner of Wallace Road around 10 p.m. asking for help.
He told investigators he was walking in a wood line nearby when another man approached him, according to Metro police.
Metro police reported the two exchanged words before the suspect stabbed the victim in the eye.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is expected to survive.
No suspect description was released.
