A man was seriously injured when he was stabbed in the chest in downtown Nashville early Thursday morning.
He was stabbed just before 3 a.m. during an argument on Hermitage Avenue.
The victim was taken to an Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. He reportedly underwent surgery for a punctured lung.
Metro police told News 2 when officers arrived they saw a man running away.
After a short pursuit, they were able to take him into custody. His identity was not immediately released.
