Man killed in shooting outside Antioch hookah lounge


A man was killed when he was shot while sitting in a vehicle outside an Antioch hookah lounge early Friday morning.  

It happened around 1:20 a.m. at the Arabian Palace on Bell Road near Interstate 24. 

According to police, Cesar Reza and two friends had pulled into the parking lot with the intention of going inside the hookah bar. 

Witnesses reported they pulled behind a man who was trying to back out of the parking lot. An argument ensued between Reza and the other driver before that man fired a shot into Reza’s car.

Nashville Fire Department paramedics declared Reza dead at the scene.  

The gunman fled the scene in what was described as a white or light gray car, possibly a Chrysler 200 with tinted windows. 

He is believed to be in his mid-20s and was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.
