Man injured in Northwest Nashville shooting


Police are investigating a shooting in northwest Nashville early Thursday morning.  

Officers were called to a home on Osage Avenue near 24th Avenue North around 2:30 a.m. 

Metro police said the victim pulled up to the home, noticed the lights were on and kicked in the door.  

He told officers he found his girlfriend inside with another man, who pulled a gun on him.  

The victim left and on his way out, the man started shooting at him, hitting him in the neck, according to Metro police. 

He drove to a relative’s home on 22nd Avenue North to call for help.  

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  

No additional information was immediately released.
