One man was taken into custody Wednesday morning after police say he barricaded himself inside his home in the Meadowbrook Subdivision of Spring Hill.

Spring Hill police said the incident began around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when a vehicle slammed into a home on Red Jacket Trace.

The suspect, identified as Thor Coleman, ran to his house a block away and barricaded himself inside, officers said.

Police had the house surrounded for hours.

Negotiations with Coleman failed so the Special Response Team went into the home on Twin Feathers Run.

Police said 27-year-old Thor Coleman was taken into custody without incident. He’s charged with reckless endangerment with a weapon, driving under the influence and reckless driving.

Coleman is being held in the Maury County jail.
