A man was critically wounded Saturday night in a shooting in East Nashville.
Metro police responded around 7 p.m. to a report of shots fired along Dew Street.
When officers arrived, they said they found a man on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his head.
The man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening, police said.
No other details were immediately released.
