A robbery suspect accused of meeting his victim through a dating app could be connected to several other similar robberies in the same area of Edgehill, authorities say.

Marcus Keangelo Brown, 20, was charged Monday with aggravated robbery.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim met Brown on an unspecified dating app and the two agreed to meet up on January 26 in a parking lot on Hillside Avenue.

When the victim arrived, he said the suspect pulled out a handgun and robbed him of his wallet.

Brown was reportedly developed as a person of interest through a Midtown Hills Crime Suppression Unit investigation involving similar robberies in the same area.

Police said Brown was also listed in multiple search warrants and had been communicating with two unnamed people recently indicted on multiple robberies on the same street completed in the same manner.

The victim identified Brown in a photo lineup, detectives said.

Bond for Brown was set at $25,000.
