Man charged in 2018 Nashville home invasion

A man has now been arrested in connection with a home invasion last year in Nashville.

Tony Woods, 44, was charged Tuesday with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim was followed into her home on Sept. 17, 2018 by several masked men armed with guns who demanded money and personal items from her and another person inside.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver car with a purse and phone belonging to one of the victims.

Police said the other victim was able to identify Woods by hearing his voice and seeing his eyes through the mask.

The arrest affidavit did not state where in the city the crime happened.

It also did not reveal if any other suspects had been charged.
