NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The man wanted in the stabbing death at a West Nashville truck lot was arrested in New York City.

Christopher Gadsden is accused in the brutal stabbing of Deon Brown on Nov. 14 before driving his car to North Carolina.

Authorities previously said police in Hickory, North Carolina, encountered Gadsden with Brown’s car, which had blood on the inside and out, the same day Brown was found dead.

Police say Gadsden also had a hand injury that required treatment at a hospital.

Subsequent efforts to find him in North Carolina and elsewhere were unsuccessful until today when he was taken into custody in New York. Metro police say they coordinated with the Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force to arrest him.

He is being held there pending a court appearance and extradition proceedings.

His exact charges weren’t immediately known. Further details have yet to be released.
