A man who fired multiple bullets while in the middle of a Christian County, Kentucky road over the weekend was likely drunk, authorities say.
Christian County deputies were called around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to a disturbance on Gospel of Peace Road, northeast of Hopkinsville.
When a deputy arrived at the scene, the deputy said two men were yelling at other and one was pointing a gun in the face of the other.
The man with the gun, who investigators identified as Richard Spain, eventually ran behind a tree and unsuccessfully tried to tuck the weapon into his boot, the sheriff’s office said.
Spain, 28, was taken into custody on charges including wanton endangerment, evidence tampering, carrying a concealed weapon and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
No injuries were reported.
