For the third year in a row, a major bass fishing tournament is raising money to fund cancer research.

The Legends Cast for a Cure fishing tournament, presented by country superstar Chris Young will blast off Saturday morning June 1st on Old Hickory Lake.  It starts at 6 a.m. at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, with weigh-ins at 9 a.m. and Noon.

Guests who want to attend without fishing can go to the Party in The Park, which kicks off at 10 a.m. The Party features live music from Philip White and the Wilson Brothers Band, plus a silent auction, and family-friendly activities.

All proceeds benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation, the music industry’s promise to fund innovative cancer research.

Since 1975 the foundation, with help from the country music industry, has raised more than $280 million.
